Big Future is a service through College Board that helps students find colleges, explore programs, learn how to pay for school, understand admission requirements, and much much much more. This a tool that our team uses when working with students. RAI (Regent Admission Index) provides students with a score based on their high school GPA, Class Rank, ACT score, and RAI approved core courses. Students will use then when applying to the University of Iowa, UNI, and Iowa State. Want to see what Hempstead courses are counted in your RAI score? Click on this document to see. Xello is an engaging online platform that helps students plan for their future by exploring careers, setting goals, and preparing for life after high school. Through personalized assessments and interactive tools, students can discover career paths, research colleges and training programs, build resumes, and create a roadmap aligned with their interests and strengths.

Hempstead is lucky to have Kelly Cooper and Boyd Card from Iowa Tech Works to support students wanting to go into the Auto Diesel, Advanced Manufacturing, Construction or Pre-Engineering fields. Students can fill out an application in the counseling office to get connected with either Kelly or Boyd and learn about job shadows, courses to take and apprenticeship programs. |
